This Quick-Install Security Camera utilises new CCD & DSP technology that improves image resolution, colour rendition, signal to noise ratio, reduces false colour noise, it is ideal for most Security Surveillance applications.

Built with Sony's latest image processor, this wide dynamic camera has the capability of achieving resolutions of over 650 HTVL-E.

For fixed applications press-button adjustment of Lens Focal Length (width-of-shot) and Focus, Automatic Iris takes care of varying light levels. Easy push-button Menu driven On-Screen setup to adjust Camera parameters. Ideal for domestic and commercial Security and easily added to an existing Security Recording system simply connect Video Output from Camera to an unused Security DVR Video input.

Connect this Security Camera to the Composite Video Input (AV, Yellow RCA socket) on most TVs and Domestic or commercial Recording Devices, if required a Microphone can be easily added and a single small diameter Cable used to carry Video, Audio & Power 20 or more metres.

Powered by Sony's 960H EXview Super HAD II CCD image sensor & Effio DSP this Security Camera is capable of an extraordinary 650+ HTVL effective resolution, far better than traditional Security Cameras, HTVL Effective Specification.

Video System: PAL Colour fully compatible with Australian TV System.

Image Device: 960H ExView HAD CCD II from Sony 976(H) x 582(V) 568 032 Pixel " SONY ICX673AK, 5 µm (H) x 6.25 µm (V) pixel size. *"EXview HAD CCD Ⅱ" is a trademark of Sony Corporation. The "EXview HAD CCD Ⅱ" is a CCD image sensor that realizes sensitivity (typical) of 1000mV or more per 1µm2 (Color: F5.6/ BW: F8 in 1 s accumulation equivalent) and improves light efficiency by including near infrared light region as a basic structure of Sony’s "EXview HAD CCD".

DSP: SONY CXD4127GG Effio-E New-Technology Wide-Bandwidth Digital Signal Processor.

Lens: Motorised (push-button control) Focus & Focal Length, 18X (5 mm ~ 90 mm) Automatic Iris. Remote Control Interface: 2-wire RS485 or 6-Wire

IMPORTANT: If power to Camera is interrupted at power-on Camera re-boots to default 1X (5 mm focal length) setting, a BackUp-Battery can be used to provide a ~ 20 hour buffer.

Setup: On Screen Display, menu driven via push-buttons on Back of Camera or remotely via 2-wire RS485 or 6-Wire DC polarity reversal.

Scanning System: 2 : 1 Interlace, PAL 50 Hz vertical, 15 625 Hz horizontal.

Synchronisation: Internal.

Video Output: 1.14 V p-p Composite Video 75 ohms, suit Australian TV, VCR, AV & Video inputs, BNC socket.

Sensor/DSP Resolution: 960H/Effio-E 650+ HTVL-E better than Super-VHS, SDTV, DVD resolution. Whitepapers: HTVL Effective Specification & Camera Resolution Is Limited to 540 HTVL Maximum in CCTV Systems

Sensitivity: ~ 0.1 Lux @ F1.2 with IR-CUT Filter out of Optical path, (this value is provided for comparative purposes only) Camera produces images in total darkness when used with an Infrared Illuminator.

Day Night: Motorised movable Infrared Cut Filter (IR-CUT) Automatic (Filter moves based on illumination level), Colour (Filter in optical path), Monochrome (Filter out of optical path).

Movable Infrared Optical Filter: Automatic switching based on illumination level.
In Day mode (well lit, colour) mechanism automatically positions IR-CUT optical filter between Lens and Image Sensor to exclude Infrared radiation that would otherwise adversely affect colour reproduction, this ensures colour rendition not possible with ordinary non-filtered or notch-filter type Day/Night cameras.
Movable Infrared Cut Filter Day positionmoreMovable Infrared Cut Filter Night position
In Night mode (low light,
monochrome) mechanism automatically removes IR-CUT optical filter allowing Infrared radiation to pass boosting low light and Infrared sensitivity, the result is significantly better night images using an Infrared Illuminator or with Infrared rich light sources. Infrared Response without Infrared filter is ~ 700 to ~ 1100 nm better than a 'CCTV notch IR Filter', additional CCTV Infrared Night Vision information.

Signal to Noise ratio (SNR): 50 + dB, measured with AGC off.

Lens Iris: Automatic or Manual 20 positions, via push button On-Screen-Display (OSD) setup Menu. Our recommendation is AUTO.

Back Light Compensation: On/Off via OSD setup. Our recommendation is OFF.

Automatic Gain Control (AGC): 3 levels via OSD setup. Our recommendation is MIN.

Image Settings: Brightness 50 levels, Sharpness 16 levels, Mirror On/Off, Display Focal Length setting 1~18X On/Off, Privacy Zones 4, via OSD setup.

Day & Night: Automatic (IR-CUT based on illumination), Colour (IR-CUT in optical path), B/W (IR-CUT out of optical path) via OSD setup. Our recommendation is AUTO.

Focus: Manual recommended, AUTO & K AUTO modes are not recommended, AUTO & K AUTO settings may be useful for some high contrast scenes with distinct outlines but is probably unsuitable in many common Security Surveillance situations. In K AUTO mode when Lens focal length is changed Camera makes one attempt to Focus.

Gamma: 0.45.

RS485: PELCO-D Protocol 2400 / 4800 / 9600 bps for control of Focal Length, Focus & OSD setup via 'A' & 'B' terminals. When used with Wireless Video Two-Way Audio RS485 Server select EP Pelco-D 2400 bps. When used with Joystick RS485 & similar controllers to call up OSD Menu enter 95 press CALL, use Zoom +/- & Focus +/- to move cursor / change parameter, when Cursor is on Exit enter 95 press CALL to exit.

Power Requirements: 12 Volts DC Regulated, ~ 100 milliamps static ~ 200 milliamps when Zoom/Focus Motors are operating, via Screw Terminal Block.

Dimensions (mm): ~ 126 x 78 x 63, excludes BNC Socket & I/O Terminal Block.

Mass (grams): ~ 580.
